I follow industry standards in regards to Copyright, please see below.
- As with the majority of all illustrative work, the illustrator retains the original artwork and copyright, but gives the author/client unique licensing rights.
- These rights give the client the use of the artwork for which it was commissioned, and for promotional purposes such as posters, flyers, advertising and bookmarks, etc. It also gives the client the right to use the artwork for promotional uses such as websites, blogs, FB and social media.
- This does NOT include the client selling the artwork/image to other parties or for other works and does NOT include merchandising rights such as T-shirts, cups, pens, cushions and calendars, etc., for sale.
- As the illustrator, I also agree to never sell the original artwork, in whole or in part, to other parties or for other works, and will only use the artwork as a promotional tool to demonstrate/advertise my illustrative work/skills/services.
What you will receive:
- Final artwork, hand-crafted, custom designed and based on your specific requirements.
- Original artwork which has never been produced or reproduced before and is unique to your brief/vision and original to you and your work.
- Artwork in high resolution (min 300dpi) and without watermarks, to be used for ebook, paperback, hardback and/or for posters, banners and other promotional materials.
- Artwork which cannot be used by others or for other works and which cannot be used by myself for others or other works.
- For book covers, front cover artwork, spine and back covers, commissioned to your specifications.
